A man claims bounty hunter and reality tv star, Duane "Dog" Chapman, was wrong to arrest him, and has filed suit.
Simaile "Cisco" Lutu, 29, alleges Chapman and his group of bondsmen wrongly tried to arrest him while trying to capture a fugitive. He said after the incident, police continued to target him.
Lutu's attorney, Jim Hammer, tells The Associated Press, "This is reality TV run amok."
The suit claims Chapman's son tried to restrain Lutu because he believed he was the suspected drug dealer, Samu Savea. "Dog" Chapman admitted Lutu wasn't the right man.
The lawsuit claims the day after his wrongful arrest, Daly City police handcuffed Lutu and held him at gunpoint at a fitness club. The suit says later, police handcuffed and held him at gunpoint again.
The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages from Chapman, the bondsmen and A and E television network which produces and airs his show.
