David Lee Roth didn't go quietly when he announced his last show as a morning show DJ Friday, revealing live on-air he felt "booted" and "tossed."
The former Van Halen star signed off during his last CBS show by threatening his radio bosses and telling them they can expect a legal battle.
Lee Roth, who replaced shock jock Howard Stern on the New York-based radio show in January, told listeners, "It's official, today is my last day."
He later growled that he had been informed of his dismissal "in the car on the way to work today," and went on to say, "It's going to cost somebody."
The rocker then told fans he planned to sit down with his bosses and "settle like gentleman or start World War nine."
Roth has retained the same legal team employed by Stern when his predecessor embarked on a still-running legal battle with CBS officials.
Controversial satellite radio DJs Opie and Anthony will replace Roth on Wednesday.

Is it just my imagination, or does David Lee always seem pissed off about something? And he's always the victim, isn't he?
