DON JOHNSON has slammed the media for fuelling rumours of marital and substance abuse problems - insisting the reports are nothing more than idle tabloid "gossip".
The MIAMI VICE actor, who is twice divorced from actress MELANIE GRIFFITH, denies his life has been plagued by addictions and rocky romances.
He says, "I think it was widely misreported and blown out of proportion. It was never an issue for me, more just gossip magazine stuff. "I don't have alcohol problems and I haven't had a divorce in over 15 years."
Johnson and current wife, ex-school teacher KELLEY PHLEGER, are currently expecting their third child.
