It's gettin' more nasty with the McCartney's

Sir Paul McCartney physically attacked Heather Mills McCartney four times and consumed drugs and alcohol excessively during their marriage, according to court papers filed by his estranged wife.

Mills McCartney accuses the former Beatle of being a "vindictive" man who once attacked her when she was pregnant and on another occasion stabbed her in the arm with a broken wine glass.

In divorce papers seen by Britain's the Daily Mail newspaper, McCartney is also said to have verbally abused his wife, calling her an "ungrateful bitch," and objected "vociferously" when Mills McCartney, who lost a leg after a motorcycle accident, asked to purchase an antique bedpan so she didn't have to crawl to the bathroom during the night.

The star is also accused of forcing Mills McCartney to cancel an important operation scheduled to take place during a holiday he was planning, and of trying to stop her breastfeeding, saying, "They are my breasts."

Among a series of alleged incidents pinpointed in the court papers, McCartney is said to have become "very angry, yelled at her, grabbed her neck and started choking her" in August 2003 when she asked him if he had been smoking cannabis.

In April 2006, McCartney is accused of pouring a bottle of red wine over his wife's head before throwing the wine in his glass at her. He "then reached to grab the respondent's (Mills McCartney) wine glass and broke the bowl of the glass from the stem.

"He then lunged at the respondent with the broken, sharp stem of the wine glass, which cut and pieced her arm just below the elbow, and it began to bleed profusely.

"He proceeded to manhandle the respondent, flung her into her wheelchair and wheeled it outside, screaming at her to apologize for 'winding him up.'"
