Kim Basinger has filed a motion to stop ex-husband Alec Baldwin from publishing a book about their divorce.
Baldwin is penning "A Promise to Ourselves," about his acrimonious split from the Oscar-winning actress.
He is writing the book to educate people on divorce, custody issues and the legal system's bias against fathers.
Basinger claims Baldwin is violating a court order banning him from speaking to the press.
She has also threatened his publisher, St. Martin's Press, with legal action if the book goes ahead.
Baldwin has hit back, asking the court to dismiss the claim and for Basinger to pay his legal fees.
The couple split in 2000 after seven years of marriage and have been battling over custody of their daughter, Ireland.
