Heath Ledger apologizes to Howard Stern

PAGE Six has played peacemaker in Howard Stern's war against Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams. Last week, we told you the Sirius shock jock was furious that the couple blew off him and gal pal Beth Ostrosky when Stern approached them at Nobu.

Ledger read our item and quickly called Stern to make up. "Michelle and I were in a very deep conversation about something in our personal life. I was admittedly a little out of it. I apologize if we came off horribly,"

Ledger said, according to Stern, who accepted it. Heath's excuse is plausible because Michelle's dad, Larry Williams, had just been busted on charges of international tax evasion.
