MARY WILSON, a founding member of the '60s Motown group THE SUPREMES, suffered a heart attack on Tuesday in her home in Las Vegas. Mary is still hospitalized and her condition has not been made available.
A Cultural Ambassador for the United States who performs over 150 concert dates per year, Mary sang alongside DIANA ROSS and FLORENCE BALLARD, topping the charts in the '60s with such hits as "Baby Love" and "Where Did Our Love Go."
The singer suffers from hereditary high cholesterol and is scheduled to have elective heart bypass surgery on Monday morning, May 22. She encourages the public to have their cholesterol checked regularly, stressing prevention as the best course of action.
