Jailed rapper LIL' KIM has written a letter to her fans about the trauma of being locked up at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The rap star - real name KIMBERLY JONES - was sentenced to serve a year and a day for lying to a federal grand jury regarding a shooting outside a New York radio station, last year). Talk show host TYRA BANKS read the personal letter from Lil' Kim on her show today which said:
"No matter how good I am in here, this is no place for women to be - or anyone for that matter. It has its trying times and stressful moments - it's very unsanitary - and can be very depressing, especially around the holidays."
The rapper was also forced to remove her hair extensions and fake nails, which are banned in prison. Lil' Kim reveals in the letter that she goes to church every Sunday and Bible study every Tuesday.
She adds, "For the most part, all the girls on my (cell) block are cool (but) being away from your family and loved ones is the worst part of being locked up."
