NEW YORK -- Actress Keri Russell was named today as the new face of best-selling makeup brand CoverGirl.
The 29-year-old California native rose to fame in the 1990’s as the star of the WB’s Felicity. Her character, a fresh-faced and earnest NYU college student, entertained audiences throughout the show’s four-year run.
The qualities Russell embodied in that role were part of what made her an attractive spokesperson, said Gina Drosos, vp and gm-global cosmetics for Proctor & Gamble, CoverGirl’s parent company.
“Keri embodies the clean, fresh, natural look that defines CoverGirl,” Drosos said in a statement. “Her natural beauty and spirited personality shine through in everything she does.”
