Irish rock campaigner Sir Bob Geldof and U2 frontman Bono are among the nominees for the coveted 2006 Nobel Peace Prize.
Geldof, the former Boomtown Rats frontman is up for the award for organizing last year's Live 8 extravaganza, while Bono is on the list thanks to his human rights campaigning.
The rockers are flanked by former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, for his efforts to halt civil war in the Sudan, and former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.
