LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Christina Applegate and her husband, Johnathon Schaech, are calling it quits after four years of marriage.

The couple have filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court. Their publicists, Ame Van Iden and Chuck James, confirmed the split Monday.

Did you know that Christina Applegate is in the running with Cameron Diaz and several other terrific actresses to star in the new book Refraction by Jan Dynes. There is a contest on line to pick the person to star in the movie. See www.1bookpublishers.com and go to the contest page to vote for Christina or your favorite. The book comes out in March, and they will pick the star for it after the readers vote. Too cool huh???

I was a reader in the focus group for making Refgraction by Jan Dynes into a movie. In a group of 750 it was very nearly 98% positive. I think the other 2% went to sleep. This was one heck of a book and I can't wait for the movie!

My choice for the lead in the movie Refraction by Jan Dynes would be Kate Walsh, but I think Christina Applegate would be a terrific Joan (her best friend and a very spunky woman.) I hope they talk to her about Joan, her part is just as big and juicy, and the scene where she gets shoot is awesome.

Okay, picking the movie characters for this book could be fun. I loved Refraction by Jan Dynes, it was an action packed, fast and furious suspense. I finished it in 2 days and couldn't put it down.
So here are my picks: for the movie
    Diane-Jennifer Garner
    Joan-Christina Applegate
    Mary Jane-Kate Walsh
    Damon-George Clooney
    Chase Brad Pitt
    Mark-Patrick Dempsey
    Vince-Billy Bob Thornton
    Mario-Tony Danza
    Jason-Luke Wilson

    Wrong, Wrong, Wrong....
I too thought this was a terrific book, but your characterizations are all wrong.
Refraction by Jan Dynes the movie, should star the freckeled, star of Lost as Diane Lindsey. She would be perfect. Joan is probably a good fit as Christina Applegate, but Chase should be more of a Matt Damon and Damon would be well played by Ben Afflect, which would put a great duo back together. And little brother Casey Afflect would be a very good Mark.

Refraction.... is a think outside the box kind of novel. I say it should all be done with newcomers and be a breakout movie that builds the actress into Dianne and makes her career in the process. Someone obscure and never typecast yet.
