Update: The couple have secretly been split for close to two months now, sources tell Us Weekly, who have the former Newlyweds on their cover this week.

"There will be no forced reconciliation," a source tells the pub. "They should have just ended it six months ago but there was always another business reason not to break up. The marriage kept going for all the wrong reasons and they ended up hating each other."

Jessica's father, Joe Simpson, is said to be the driving force in keeping the problems concealed.
