LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Australian songstress Olivia Newton-John has urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of her long-time boyfriend to "please, please come forward."
Patrick Kim McDermott has been missing since June 30 when he went on an overnight fishing trip and never returned.
"I'm hopeful that my treasured friend is safe and well, and I'm grateful to the officials who are working so hard to find Patrick, whom I love very much," the singer and actress said in a written statement.
"I ask anybody with information that could help to please, please come forward."
Newton-John spokesman Gavin de Becker said the Grammy award winning singer was "extremely concerned" about the whereabouts of McDermott, 48, and was staying in close touch with his family, as well as authorities.
The United States Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the matter and anyone with information is urged to call 310-732-7344.
