Mel Gibson enters rehab

Actor Mel Gibson entered rehab after his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, his spokesman said Monday.

"He has entered into an ongoing program of recovery," said his publicist, Alan Nierob.

Further details were not immediately available.

The movie star's troubles mounted Monday as a Web site reported Gibson had been stopped twice before for reckless driving and let go.

Meanwhile, Hollywood speculated about the fallout from Gibson's reported anti-Semitic and sexist remarks.

Authorities involved in his arrest continued to fend off suggestions that they had "sanitized" a deputy's report.

Boy George ordered to pick up trash

Boy George will perform his court-ordered community service by picking up trash on city streets in the August heat, a sanitation spokesman said.

The one-time Culture Club singer will be issued a shovel, broom, plastic bags and gloves when he reports August 14 for five days of work, said department spokesman Vito Turso.

"This is the epitome of community service," Turso told the Daily News for Monday editions.

"It's not like he's going to be working in an air-conditioned office."

Mel Gibson cover up?

TMZ has learned that Mel Gibson went on a rampage when he was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunk driving, hurling religious epithets. TMZ has also learned that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department had the initial report doctored to keep the real story under wraps.

TMZ has four pages of the original report prepared by the arresting officer in the case, L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy James Mee. According to the report, Gibson became agitated after he was stopped on Pacific Coast Highway and told he was to be detained for drunk driving Friday morning in Malibu. The actor began swearing uncontrollably. Gibson repeatedly said, "My life is f****d." Law enforcement sources say the deputy, worried that Gibson might become violent, told the actor that he was supposed to cuff him but would not, as long as Gibson cooperated. As the two stood next to the hood of the patrol car, the deputy asked Gibson to get inside. Deputy Mee then walked over to the passenger door and opened it. The report says Gibson then said, "I'm not going to get in your car," and bolted to his car. The deputy quickly subdued Gibson, cuffed him and put him inside the patrol car.

TMZ has learned that Deputy Mee audiotaped the entire exchange between himself and Gibson, from the time of the traffic stop to the time Gibson was put in the patrol car, and that the tape fully corroborates the written report.

Simon Cowell gets a lashing from girlfriend

Acid-tongued America Idol judge Simon Cowell got a taste of his own medicine when he was reunited with his girlfriend, Terri Seymour, in London following revelations he had a tryst with model Jasmine Lennard. According to reports, the 46-year-old TV star has been having a six-month affair with 21-year-old Jasmine.

Upset over the news, his girlfriend of four years, Terri, 32, immediately flew from LA to London to confront Simon, who picked her up in his Phantom Rolls Royce.

"Terri is irate at the whole situation," a pal of Simon's reveals. A stony-faced Terri, who is a correspondent for Extra!, arrived at Terminal 4 at Heathrow Airport on July 27 and met Simon in the airport's Starbucks.

A friend of Simon's tells In Touch, "It's unusual for Simon to pick her up personally from the airport - he usually goes everywhere by chauffeur but decided this time he needed to."

"They didn't kiss each other when Terri arrived and she was very stand-offish," the pal continues. "They were arguing in the coffee shop and Terri looked close to tears."

Dina Lohan is in denial

A studio executive was "way out of line" for scolding Lindsay Lohan for her absences from the set of her new movie, the teen actress' mother told "Access Hollywood" in an interview set to air Monday.

Last week, James G. Robinson, CEO of Morgan Creek Productions, chided Lohan in a letter for her behavior on a movie set and doubted her absence was related to heat exhaustion.

"You and your representatives have told us that your various late arrivals and absences from the set have been the result of illness; today we were told it was 'heat exhaustion,'" Robinson wrote. "We are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called 'exhaustion.'"

Dina Lohan said the wording of the letter was "ridiculous."

"I feel when you are 19 (years old) it is way out of line. ... Maybe he has personal issues with whomever and it came out with my child," she said in an interview with Billy Bush. "I don't know him. I can't judge him. I don't think it was a smart thing to do to a young girl."

Lohan acknowledged that Lindsay has been late to the set on occasion and that the production once had to be scheduled around her to accommodate her lateness.

But she defended her daughter's most recent absence.

"Lindsay was in 105 (degree weather) saying, 'Mommy, I feel sick; like I am going to faint.' She took herself to the hospital. She has asthma and in extreme cold or heat you can't breathe."

Lohan plays a troubled teen in "Georgia Rules," which also stars Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman. Robinson said in the letter that Lohan has been frequently late for filming and has been "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional."

Gwyneth Paltrow's Co-Star Blasts Backstage Eccentricities

Gwyneth Paltrow lives "in another world" according to a co-star, who has spoken out about her "bizarre" backstage behavior.

The Academy Award-winner worked with Sara Stewart in modest London play Proof, but didn't forget her Tinseltown lifestyle in the dressing room.

The 33-year-old insisted on personal chefs to cook her meals, instigated group hugs, and practiced yoga between performances.

Stewart recalls, "Gwyneth is lovely but she is, in the nicest sense, in another world."

"Personal chefs prepared her macrobiotic food, but the food was delicious - even brownies with no chocolate!"

"She practiced yoga so she was incredibly flexible. I didn't have to do that, but we did have a cast 'group hug' every night. It is so not British, but it was OK."

Thom Yorke of Radiohead writes using bad reviews

Is Thom Yorke, the fair-voiced lead singer of Radiohead, taking tips on how to emote from Britney Spears?

Yorke, whose solo album The Eraser debuted earlier this month, has written a poem composed of lines and snippets pulled from various bad reviews of the CD.

Check it out:

lacks motivation. full of own self importance.
always shooting his mouth off.
tends to stray from the path…

never was.
never will be again.
the only way is down.
so now ambels around aimlessly.

The latest on Mel Gibson's arrest

As he said himself while he was being arrested, Mel Gibson is fucked!

Our friends at Cops Online have a damning report about the disgusting, evil man's anti-Semitic tirade when he was arrested for driving while VERY drunk. (And, equally disturbing is the LA County Sheriff''s attempted cover-up of Gibsons Jewish hatred, fearing it would create too much controversy during this sensitive time in the Middle East.)

On being arrested:"My life is fucked."

To the police officer who detained him: "You mother fucker. I'm going to fuck you."

The arresting officer's report also says "Gibson almost continually [sic] threatened me saying he 'owns Malibu' and will spend all of his money to 'get even' with me."

On Jews:"Fucking Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world."

And, the worst part (for Gibson), it was all caught on tape!

Click here to read the full account of his hate-filled behavior and crazy antics during his arrest. It's disturbing.

Mel Gibson issues statement:

"After drinking alcohol on Thursday night, I did a number of things that were very wrong and for which I am ashamed. I drove a car when I should not have, and was stopped by the L.A. County sheriffs. The arresting officer was just doing his job and I feel fortunate that I was apprehended before I caused injury to any other person.

"I acted like a person completely out of control when I was arrested, and said things that I do not believe to be true and which are despicable. I am deeply ashamed of everything I said.

"Also, I take this opportunity to apologize to the deputies involved for my belligerent behavior. They have always been there for me in my community and indeed probably saved me from myself. I disgraced myself and my family with my behavior and for that I am truly sorry.

"I have battled the disease of alcoholism for all of my adult life and profoundly regret my horrific relapse. I apologize for any behavior unbecoming of me in my inebriated state and have already taken necessary steps to ensure my return to health."

Paul McCartney Files For Divorce

Paul McCartney has finally filed for divorce from his estranged wife Heather Mills McCartney, according to British news reports. The former Beatle is allegedly citing unreasonable behavior, but his wife of four years is vowing to fight the case vigorously in both Britain and America.

"Heather's going to be filing her own counterclaims about matters both in this country and America," her U.K. rep tells PEOPLE. Because there is no pre-nuptial agreement, at stake is a share of the 64-year-old musician's fortune – estimated to top $1.5 billion – along with the custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Beatrice.

A McCartney insider told the Daily Mirror that the couple split last May because of Mills' "unreasonable behavior," which included being "rude to the staff" and "argumentative".

Prince's Wife Files for Divorce

Prince's wife, Manuela Testolini Nelson, filed the petition to end their five-year union.

"Deciding to end the marriage was a very difficult decision for Ms. Nelson," says her attorney, Edward Winer. "She is seeking a cooperative resolution of this case and hopes the proceeding will be resolved quickly and respectfully. Ms. Nelson continues to be focused on her charitable work and her business, which remain her top priority."

Prince's personal lawyer, Patrick Cousins, confirms that Testolini Nelson is the petitioner. "His wife filed for divorce. This isn’t something that he wanted," says Cousins. "There isn't anything else. He didn't counter sue. He is just trying to get it resolved.”

The divorce action was filed at Minnesota's Hennepin County District Court on May 24. The documents are sealed. (Minneapolis's Star Tribune newspaper was first to report the story.)

George Michael to sue over 'cruising' claim

George Michael has said he is to take legal action against a man who claimed he had a gay encounter with the singer.

Allegations of "cruising" on London's Hampstead Heath were printed in the News of the World, but Michael said he would not sue the paper or its owner.

He does plan to sue photographers for harassment, however, and denied calling off a civil ceremony with his partner.

But he admitted seeking "anonymous and no-strings sex" at what he described as "the best cruising ground in London".

Michael, 43, told BBC News 24: "I'm suing the individual involved who I have never, ever seen, let alone wanted to have any kind of sexual encounter with, and I'm currently investigating suing the secondary sources of libel."

Pam Anderson and Kid Rock to marry this weekend

The couple are due to marry on Saturday in exclusive French town St Tropez - but the marriage could be unlawful.

A St Tropez town hall spokesman said: “Anyone wishing to get married in St Tropez must be a resident here for one month before the wedding.” The former ‘Baywatch’ actress and the singer are said to be tying the knot aboard a friend’s yacht.

Pammie - who wore a bikini for her wedding to Tommy Lee - will wear a white dress and carry pink and white lilies.

Her close friend photographer David LaChapelle will be the ‘maid of honour’, according to Us Weekly magazine.

After the nuptials, the wedding breakfast will be held on the Thunder Gulch yacht followed by a night of partying at a local nightclub.

Tori Spelling Inherits Less Than $1 Million

Aaron Spelling, who died on June 23 at 83, left behind an estate estimated to be worth more than $300 million. But his daughter, Tori, will inherit just a small fraction of that fortune, a source close to the actress.

Aaron's will leaves Tori, 33, "less than $1 million" in cash and stocks, says the source. Because Tori was so close to her TV mogul father, the source says, "it's disheartening to her."

The inheritance includes a cash sum that Tori was to receive on Monday, 30 days after her father's death, but the source says that Tori has not yet received the money.

To contest the inheritance, Tori would have to go up against the will's executor – her mother, Candy, 60, with whom she's been feuding.

Meanwhile, Candy's home decorator is set to receive $50,000 from the estate, according to the source. Another person who knows the family says Tori's brother Randy, 27, also recieved about $1 million.

TMZ spoke with celebrity attorney Cyrus J. Nownejadi, who represents Voorhies, who says "The allegations are untrue, and the matter has been resolved."

Lark has signed an exclusive contract to interview with Inside Edition discussing the allegations.

Lindsay Lohan and her "discourteous" ways

Rumors are swirling that Lindsay Lohan's hard-partying ways have been taking their toll on the filming of her latest film "Georgia Rule." Her recent visit to the hospital due to dehydration only added flames to the fire. Now Lohan is catching hell from her own producer, who's fed up with her behavior.

The Smoking Gun has obtained a letter from James G. Robinson, the CEO of Morgan Creek Production, to Lohan in which he calls her action "...discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional."

He goes on to say that her actions are those of a spoiled child which has caused her co-workers to feel alienated and "has endangered the quality of this picture." The letter concludes by urging Lohan to be on time and act professionally, otherwise "action" will be taken in order to preserve the integrity of the film.

Is Simon Cowell cheating on his girlfriend?

"AMERICAN Idol" judge Simon Cowell is no idol to his girlfriend of four years, Terri Seymour. The acid-tongued star has been caught cheating on Seymour, 32, with ravishing bisexual model Jasmine Lennard.

A photographer for Britain's Daily Mirror spotted Lennard entering Cowell's London townhouse late Tuesday and must have peeked through a window. The paper reports that within minutes she was peeling off her fur coat to reveal racy black lingerie.

The pair relaxed on a sofa for 90 minutes before heading up to a bedroom to usher in her 21st birthday. She was photographed leaving an hour later, with Cowell standing in the doorway sporting a huge grin.

The affair has been going on six months, says The Mirror, which quoted a pal of Lennard: "[Simon and Jasmine] tend to spend most of their time together in Simon's house [in London] when Terri is at their other home in Los Angeles."

Mo'Nique asked to leave United Airlines flight

Comedienne Mo'Nique is speaking out about how she says she was mistreated by airline personnel over an incident on Sunday, when the actress says she was asked to leave a United Airlines flight.

The star of the big screen's 'Phat Girlz' and host to the small screen's "Mo'Nique's F.A.T. Chance" (a television beauty pageant for large women) said she boarded a flight to New York in first class when, she alleges, flight attendants threw her off the plane without giving her a reason why, referring to her as a "threat."

"I'm in disbelief that it happened to me," she tells ET.

According to Mo'Nique, a flight attendant approached her and addressed her in a rude and unprofessional manner. "The flight attendant comes up to me and says, 'Listen, you need to let your people know ... if they don't straighten out their attitude I'll have them thrown off this flight,'" she said from her hometown of Baltimore this morning. "And I said, 'No, you're not gonna speak to me like that. You're not gonna be rude and disrespectful.' [He said,] 'Well, you know what, I'll have you thrown off, too.' He snapped his fingers and walked away."

She says that the flight attendants were upset that a member of her support team -- who was sitting in coach -- put Mo'Nique's hairdryer in first class where the star was sitting. After she voluntarily got off the plane, a United employee told her that since 9/11, they don't take threats lightly.

"If I am such a threat," Mo'Nique points out, "why am I not being taken out of the airport? Why are you trying to get me on any flight if I posed a terrorist threat? That's not making sense to me."

"They felt it was okay to mistreat me and pull me out of my seat, simply because I would not allow them to be disrespectful," Mo'Nique says. "I'm angry, I'm in shock. It was incredibly humiliating and embarrassing for me. Police were everywhere."

The actress was attempting to fly to New York in order to guest host "The View." She did make that engagement, sitting down with the ladies Monday morning.

After the story broke, United Airlines issued the following statement:

"The safety of all of our passengers and our crew is our top priority, and that we regret that Ms. Imes felt in any way that she was not treated with courtesy and respect. When a situation occurs on a flight that causes a delay, or disruption, we must act in the best interest of all of our customers. It was determined that the best course of action was to accommodate Ms. Imes on a later flight."
