Quote of the Day

I've had boyfriends complain, "Wait, you don't want to see me?" No, I don't. I just want to hang out by myself. So screw off.

Howard Stern Sued by CBS

Shock jock Howard Stern claimed that his former employer CBS Corp. is "bullying" him and threatening to sue him for financial damages.

Speaking at a hastily arranged news conference in New York Tuesday, Stern said CBS accused him of reaching a "secret agreement" with his new employer, Sirius Satellite Radio Inc., even though he disclosed it to CBS executives and discussed his intentions to move to Sirius on the air.

Stern also disputed CBS's claim that he caused them financial damages by discussing satellite radio on the air, saying it was a legitimate story about the media and helped lead to high ratings for his show and sold-out advertising time.

Stern and his lawyers indicated that no lawsuit had been filed yet.

CBS declined to make any comment.

Pete Doherty Arrested AGAIN!

Troubled British rocker Pete Doherty has been arrested again -- on suspicion of stealing a car and possessing class A drugs.

The Babyshambles frontman, who earlier this month appeared in court in London for drug-related offenses, is thought to be one of three men held by police in Birmingham, England, for stealing a car in the capital.

Doherty and two teenagers from Scotland were also arrested for allegedly possessing class A drugs.

The singer, who previously romanced supermodel Kate Moss, was slapped with 13 nights in prison in January and ordered to attend a drug rehabilitation program following his February conviction on seven drug counts.

The judge warned he could face further time behind bars should he break his community service order.

Richie Sambora Wants Judge Replaced

Musician Richie Sambora has moved to replace the judge presiding over his divorce case, because he feels he's prejudiced against him.

The Bon Jovi guitarist filed papers in Los Angeles on Friday -- just weeks after Heather Locklear petitioned for divorce -- asking the judge assigned to preside over his case be removed.

The papers read: "The judge is prejudiced against the party or the interest of the party so that the affiant (Sambora) cannot or believes that she (Sambora's attorney) cannot have a fair and impartial trial."

Anna Nicole Smith Goes To Court

ANNA NICOLE SMITH arrived looking "courtroom ready" and very chic as she walked the steps to the Supreme Court -- as part of her on-going bid to inherit a portion of her late elderly husband's fortune.

The legal matter dates back to 1995 when Smith's husband of 14 months, oil tycoon J. HOWARD MARSHALL II, passed away, leaving a fortune of nearly $2 billion behind.

Smith was originally awarded $474 million by a federal bankruptcy judge, only to have the amount later reduced by a federal district judge. Eventually, a federal appeals court threw out the entire case on jurisdictional grounds. The Supreme Court will now hear arguments to determine if Smith can continue to seek a part of Marshall's fortune and whether the decision will be made by a state or federal court.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Britney Spears spent part of Mardi Gras with a group of students whose lives were upended when Hurricane Katrina devastated the area six months ago.

George Michael: Arrest "My Own Stupid Fault"

LONDON, England (AP) -- Pop star George Michael has said his arrest for suspected drug possession was "my own stupid fault, as usual."

Michael, 42, was arrested Saturday after he was found slumped at the wheel of his car at Hyde Park Corner in central London. He was bailed to return to a police station next month.

In a statement, the former Wham! singer acknowledged the offense.

"I was in possession of class C drugs which is an offense and I have no complaints about the police who were professional throughout," Michael said.

Class C drugs, the lowest category of illegal drug, include marijuana, anabolic steroids and some amphetamines.

"I have been through enough in 24 years of dealing with the media to know what I am in for from them this week," Michael's statement said. "Much of it will be inaccurate or simply untrue. I can handle that, it is my own stupid fault, as usual."

The singer George Michael has been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs after being found slumped at the wheel of a car in central London.

The 42-year-old was discovered by a passer-by early on Sunday morning in Hyde Park Corner, who called the emergency services.

Michael was checked by paramedics who arrived at a street near the busy roundabout with the police, but the singer, who has a history of depression, did not need hospital treatment.

Police then searched the singer and allegedly discovered two forms of Class C drug - believed to be Cannabis and GHB, a type of liquid cannabis. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug.
